I am transitioning to an all IP infrastructure and want all the Board to Boardless advantages. Click here.
Dialogic offers the Brooktrout FoIP fax boards which are driven by a T.30 protocol stack that has been operating in the workplace for more than 20 years. Brooktrout FoIP fax boards are supported by more than 50 software partners and approved for use in more than 40 countries.
The Dialogic Brooktrout FoIP TR1034 Fax Board sends and receives TDM (time-division multiplexed) or IP (Internet protocol) faxes at up to 33.6 kbps, using the V.34 fax standard. The Brooktrout FoIP TR1034 also supports V.8 fast handshaking and advanced compression, which can cut call setup and session-management time by one third. This high-performance, intelligent Brooktrout FoIP fax board offers both TDM- and IP-based fax capabilities so businesses can buy the boards for a TDM installation and switch to IP and not have to change out the boards.
The Brooktrout FoIP TR1034 is suitable for a variety of network-based fax applications and can be integrated with document management and business process automation systems to support compliance with regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), and Basel II. The TR1034 comes in a T1, E1, analog, BRI (Basic Rate Interface), or DID (direct-inward dialing) configuration. The boards work in Linux, Solaris, or Windows environments.
The Dialogic Brooktrout FoIP SR140 Fax Software can offers strong options for application developers because the Brooktrout SR140 supports the Dialogic Brooktrout Bfv API (application programming interface), the same API used throughout Dialogic's line of fax products. The SR140 provides Fax over IP (FoIP) capabilities for integration of fax servers and fax document management solutions within VoIP networks. This software subassembly can be deployed in SIP, H.323, and MGCP environments to provide native SIP and H.323 support. The software is available in densities ranging from 2 to 60 channels which can support up to 120 ports in a single server. There are no boards to install or maintain with the SR140, which means that the need to stock spare boards is eliminated. The SR140 uses same field-proven T.30 protocol stack as the Dialogic Brooktrout FoIP TR1034 fax board.
The Dialogic Brooktrout TruFax fax boards offer one or two ports for faxing so that small businesses and departmental workgroups may have dependable network fax capabilities. These intelligent fax boards work in TDM environments and support a variety of applications, such as fax server and workflow fax. Built-in Dialogic Brooktrout Adaptive Call Progress provides a built-in library of communications algorithms for the identification of and adaptation to various fax machines and line conditions. The Brooktrout FoIP TruFax boards leverage advanced fax algorithms and dedicated fax-processing power, offering performance and reliability benefits comparable to Class 1 and Class 2 fax modems and multipurpose telephony adapters. The boards support Error Correction Mode (ECM) which may be essential when faxing mission-critical documents.
Developers can write one application for the Bfv API that may be deployed on both TDM and IP equipment. Dual-network support also allows users who wish to deploy either the Dialogic Brooktrout FoIP TR1034 fax boards or the Brooktrout FoIP SR140 to use them in both TDM and IP networks. This Brooktrout SDK (software development kit) provides application development support via the Dialogic Brooktrout Bfv Application Programming Interface (API) for the Brooktrout FoIP TR1034, SR140, and TruFax product lines across multiple operating system environments.
